Our history

SCK-Cores was founded 18 years ago in Vienna as “Schaffranek & Mihali KG”, a company focused on courier services. With time we gained many customers from the automotive sector, mostly automobile parts dealers and car workshops. This is where we first got the insights that would lead our company towards a new direction. Many of the car parts replaced by our customers ended up on the junkyard - despite there being the possibility of re-manufacturing. The idea for SCK-Cores was born: Saving resources, helping the environment and at the same time generating profit for all partners. 

Now SCK-Cores serves successfully as a connection between the retail market, garages and the re-manufacturing industry. In 2015 we were able to gain one of Europes biggest re-manufacturing companies as our partner. Of course there have been challenges on our way, especially in Austrias eastern region. There the possibility of re-manufacturing of used automobile parts is widely unknown. We often encounter disbelief among our customers, which requires a lot of explanatory work on our parts. Still we are happy to undertake this mission, since it is our sincere belief that re-manufacturing is the future of the automobile parts branch.
